Eggplants in Tomato and Onion Sauce with Greek Feta Cheese

For Greece eggplants are one of the most favorite vegetables and indispensable part of the Mediterranean diet. We cook tender eggplants with juicy tomatoes, Greek olive oil, fine onions and chopped parsley and we add on top cubes of the famous Greek feta cheese.

  • INGREDIENTS

  • Eggplants 60,7%, tomato sauce 36,1% [onions, peeled tomatoes (chopped tomatoes, tomato juice, citric acid), tomato paste, soya oil, parsley, carrots, extra virgin olive oil, salt, sugar, garlic, red pepper, black pepper, curry, water], feta cheese 3,2%.
  • INSTRUCTIONS

  • Conventional oven
    Preheat fan forced oven to 180°C.
    Place frozen meal in the middle shelf of the oven with paper lid still on.
    Bake for 20-25 minutes or until béchamel turns gold.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Carefully remove the lid and serve. Before serving, make sure that the food is heated evenly.

    Ovens may adjust baking time if necessary.

    B) Microwave oven
    Follow the instructions that are marked on the paper lid and open the package in the front corner before placing the carton box in the microwave.
    Place frozen meal in microwave and cook at 750W for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Carefully remove the lid and serve. Before serving, make sure that the food is heated evenly.
