Greek Island Chickpeas with Mussels


Peel the mussels, remove the whiskers and put them in a saucepan. Add the wine, the parsley, the pepper and close the pot with a lid. Let the mussels open, discard the ones that doesn’t open and after adding the olive oil, let them boil.

Add the chickpeas and the chopped basil and mix and serve.

Tip: We can add freshly ground pepper when serving!

16 mussels in shell
1 sprig of parsley
1 glass of white dry wine
1 small hot pepper
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. chopped basil
