Put the olive oil together with the pies in a pan until they turn reddish. Then keep them warm on a plate and in the same pan put the garlic clove & olive oil together with the mushrooms on high heat until golden brown. Add the thyme, stir and after 4 minutes remove from the heat.
Prepare the sauce, pour the olive oil together with the onion in a pan and let it shine for a while. Add the garlic, tomatoes, sugar, bay leaf, salt and pepper and stir until the sauce thickens.
Serve by distributing the sauce in the pies and place the mushrooms and the sweet and spicy dolmas on top.
